In the time that it takes Kim to drink a Whynatte, I have seen a mother opossum bring a young baby opossum from conception, through gestation, up to birth.
For what’s its worth, if you haven’t seen the birthing of a young opossum, let me just assure you that it’s a spectacular event. Take my word for it. You would never know that a mere 13 day gestation period could culminate in such a life altering event.
