It’s safe to say that I took Bed Bath and Beyond by storm this morning, nearly buying them out of incense, velvet throw pillows, and rosemary scented candles. Was I hosting a Greek style orgy? Close. The truth of the matter is that Andy and I spent the entire morning constructing a full service shrine in honor of Anthony (Mad Whips.com) and his friend, Marcus (Overcoat Nation.com).
It’s not everyday that Andy and I build a full service shrine. In fact, it’s been a good 3-4 months since we put together our last shrine, in honor of Abraham Latte (the man who invented the latte in 1843). Which is to say that I was absolutely ecstatic when I received the following email and photos:
Writes Anthony:
“Whynatte,
We are currently getting ready to go out for another crazy night out in
Boston.
While recovering today, we ventured out further into the heart of Boston in order to try and one up our previous whynatte photo shoot that you so
elegantly posted today! What we came up with…………whynatte do it up at the famous Cheers bar in Boston! This should lock us down for the coolest whynatte submission Boston style for a little while!
Cheers,
Anthony”
Anthony and Marcus are fast studies. Not only do they understand the art of taking a few photos while actually drinking their Whynattes, but by taking a photograph of something uniquely descriptive of the locale, they do an excellent job of setting the scene.
Call it what it is – They’re naturals.

Not only did you lock down best Boston style submission, but I just spoke with Andy (the co-creator of the Whynatte), and he said that you’ve also locked down godparent rights to his first born.

Funny how the people on either side of Anthony and Marcus don’t think anything of two guys dropping Jager shots into hot lattes, and then pounding the hell out of them.
Not funny how luxurious of an overcoat both Anthony and Marcus are wearing. Is that thing made out of Baboon fur? Christ, it’s lovely.

I just checked the links you suggested for these two gentlemen. Mostly Mad Whips…that borgati video streamed from English television is riveting.
Yes, the Mad Whips website has some good stuff on it. I wouldn’t give it a 5 latte rating if I didn’t think that it was a fun website to look at. I think it’s an original concept, and around these parts, I like original concepts. Kind of like you like smoked white fish.
Jesse, you need to send these guys some complimentary shirts, That Cheers photo is marvelous.
