Frank Visits Shea Stadium

Huh, so I was just told that the photo below is actually the Colosseum in Rome, and not Shea stadium in Queens. Understandable mistake, as they both have a similar ancient look, comprable age, and a terrible view of the field from the upper deck.

No, you had it right, that’s definitely Shea.
Another dude in a powder blue whynatte-t, amidst ancient architecture, spreading his arms as if to say, “this is mine.” Clark started some weird, post-imperialist, powder blue trend (which is incidentally the name of Jesse’s new novel about the conflation of small business and foreign markets, Penguin paperback.)
Jake, good call on the new trend of wearing powder blue shirts in front of great ancient architecture.
Isn’t “this is mine” also the name of the hip-hop album you’re dropping on August 14th? The follow up album to your smash hit “i like sharing”?
I am going with Yankee Stadium; looks like the Bronx to me. Steinbrenner screwed up that team too by overpaying for hitting and washed up gladiator pitching.
“washed up gladiator pitching” – that’s quality material. They may as well throw Pavano, his 11M salary, and his shredded ulna, into the ring with a saber toothed tiger.
Unlike Shea stadium, the Colosseum in Rome wasn’t obsolete the day that it opened.
“This is mine,” dropping this Sept. It’s a different vibe than “I like sharing,” because I realized that I don’t. So i really wanted this album to be about me, and things that I have.
Jake –
Can I borrow an advanced copy of “This is mine”?
Matt, are the luxury boxes at Shea as nice as they look in the photo?
