It’s amazing what you can do these days with a blue screen, a studio, and a good post production staff. From the comfort of our Atlanta studio, we can make it appear as though Clark is wearing a Whynatte shirt at the Great Wall of China.
That’s how things are done these days. It’s not like back when your parents were growing up, and they had to use camera’s made of wood.
Check out these beauties:
The first photo is pretty basic photoshopping. Grab a photo of the Great Wall of China, grab another photo of Clark in a Whynatte shirt, and superimpose them on top of one another. No blue screen needed.

This guy is part of our production team. He fit the part perfectly, so we tossed him into the shoot. He was actually holding up a bag of corn beef reubens that he had bought at the deli, and we photoshopped the Whynatte shirt into the picture in its place.

Thanks to our set designer, and casting director, we were able to find a guy to play the part of “native Chinese man hanging out at Great Wall”. The guy with the hat on is named Steve Schwartzman, and has had bit parts on a few different television sitcoms. He’s pretty believable.
In the photo in looks like Clark is wielding a pick axe, and indeed he is. This isn’t the tricky part of this photo. We were able to find an old photo of Clark with a pick axe, from back when he was planting geraniums in his parent’s garden.

Did you notice how the wall pattern on the inside of the pathway keeps repeating itself? If so, well done.
If not, take a closer look. You will notice that we simply cut and pasted the same wall photo to form a seamless path that appears to go downward. All we had to do was make each image a little bit smaller than the last, and it gives the impression of a steep downward slope.
