Alex, the same chap photographed with the Maasai warriors, also sent us some photos from Cape Town, South Africa. A special thanks to Alex, and those of you who have taken the time to document your Whynattes around the world. Without your help, this website would not be possible, and I would not be able to enter my office by rickshaw on a daily basis.
Writes Alex, “It took some time to find a place that could honor my request for piping hot lattes and cold Jaeger, but this place got it done. A nice layered latte which I’ve never seen before. Props to the bartender for the artistic setup of glasses. You’ll see the dude on the far left side, half in the picture chugging a Whynatte. He was the keyboardist for the band playing that night and I convinced him to take one with us during his set break.”
Given South Africa’s history of apartheid, it’s good to see black and white liquids finally coming together in such harmony.

Alex, Jake, Eli, and the right arm of the keyboardist, drinking Whynattes at a hotel bar in Cape Town, South Africa.

After the Whynatte, Alex decided to put on his cap, and go for a round on the bongo drum.

How to describe the look Alex is directing toward the beautiful singer in this last photo? Unrequited, bottomless yearning? And the keyboardist? Is he a zombie?
That keyboardist is about 6 lattes deep, so you’ll have to pardon his wide eyed expression.
I don’t know what to think about the look on Alex’s face, nor the fact that he suddenly has a moustache.
