Many of you may not be familiar with the lovely city of Portland. Known as the “Windy City”, the residents of Portland enjoy year round sunshine, and exceptional sports teams such as the Trailblazers, and the Mariners. The Sears Tower, located in downtown Portland, has been the tallest building in the United States since 1973.
Name after the 16th century explorer Lance Portstein, Portland is home to thirteen species of indigenous wild dog. You may be more familiar with the term “coyote”.
I’ll tell you something else that you probably didn’t know: There is a long and rich tradition of Whynatte drinking in Portland.
However, given the fact that Starbucks started in Portland, this may not come as such a surprise.
Okay, I could go on for hours talking about Portland, but it’s time to discuss dropping Jagermeister into hot lattes.

Chris, Clark, and Brent. Clark informed me that the had two friends living in Portland who were unfamiliar with the Whynatte.
I had my assistant dispatch the Whynatte jet, and had Clark in Portland by early evening. Then I had my assistant order me up a baby koala. Why the koala? Whynatte?

Ah, the thrill of one’s first Whynatte. Like many things, it’s a high that can never be repeated. You just keep doing more, and more, and more, hoping that it will feel like it did that first time. Anyway, I digress.

For some, drinking a Whynatte is natural. You drop the shot into the latte, and then you pour it back into your throat. For others, you drop the shot into the latte, and then you pour it all over your eye.

Chris still hasn’t quite figured this whole Whynatte thing out. He went from trying to pour the latte into his eye, to staring at it at arm’s length. Nice guy, great blacksmith, but not the best latte handler.

Such cute little bottles!
Where in Oz did those come from?
Che actually drank Brent’s shot
Sounds like you did some photoshopping of these photos, Moeisha.
I was referring to Mr. Guevara on his shirt … he is really staring down that latte in the first pic.
wait, were u serious about the windy city think and the sears tower?
Around here, Andy, we talk in facts.
Starbucks started in Seattle, not Portland. If you’ve ever been to Seattle, you would know this because there is one on every street corner and the sad thing is, they are always packed.
Seattle – Portland, it’s a small technicality.
Seattle – Chicago, also a small technicality
What about Lance Portstein? Small techinicality or not?
So much good fact-checking by your fact-checkers on this one Jess!
I did a report on Lance Portstein in the 3rd grade, and he in fact DID discover Portland (which also means “Land of Indigenous Dogs” in Yiddish). I am amazed you were able to scrape up that little known fact out of some dusty history book.
