My Personal Stash
  • Understand that when people come to my house, they expect the best Whynatte that they’ve ever tasted.

It should go without saying that making the best Whynatte requires using the right equipment. You wouldn’t go manatee hunting without the proper claw hook, would you? Exactly.

I work with an espresso machine made by Rancilio, an Italian company. I highly recommend this machine, but it’s not for beginners. Just like riding horses, it’s best to start with a small mule, and work your way up to the stallion.

The grinder is just as important as the actual espresso machine. You wouldn’t put castor oil into your gyrocopter, so why on earth would you put poorly ground beans into your Whynatte? I use the Baratza Maestro grinder, and have found that it not only grinds espresso beans, but that it polishes a mean turquoise.

Here is a photo of the machine that I use at home:

Hello, I'm one of the co-founders of Whynatte, and currently handle the marketing, branding, and business development. I also handle the mail room, the black market primate side-operation, and most of the shipping and receiving. A little of this, a little of that. The fact that you're actually reading this indicates that you've lent us your time, and have an interest in Whynatte. Thank you. It's the gazillion people who've supported us along the way that make the difference. See you around....
