One last tryst with Mr. Latte
  • Jenny is about to get married, but her heart is still with another man. Mr. Latte was the best she’d ever had, a unique fellow of refined taste and unlike anyone she had met before. They found each other a few years ago at a local bar, but she had visited him in her dreams on many occasions. She was tentative the first time they were together, Mr. Latte had a reputation for being a hot yet smooth character, and she knew for a fact that some of her friends had already experienced him before.

Her relationship with Mr. Latte had been fast and furious. Jenny took him down time after time, but never once did she regret it. Mr. Latte gave her an energized feeling when they were together, he made her feel alive, and she consumed him like he was a savory drink. Their affair ended nearly as quickly as it began; Jenny met Jason, and the two fell quickly in love. Mr. Latte moved overseas, and she had not seem him in nearly two years.

With the nuptials staring her down like a hawk from a cypress tree, Jenny sat at her bacherlorette party wishing that she could see Mr. Latte just one more time:

And what do you know? Into the bar walked Mr. Latte himself, and he was just as dark and delicious as she remembered him.

Jenny’s melancholy quickly disappeared, and she was consumed with a familiar joy. How did Mr. Latte know that she would be there that night? Her cheering friends certainly had something to do with this “brush encounter”

With her eyes closed, Jenny embraced Mr. Latte, relishing in him one last time. It was as good as she imagined it would be.

Her friends promised to never speak of Jenny’s recent indiscretion, assuring her that it would never leave the vault of their friendship. Looks like the cat is out of the proverbial bag:
