Things Made of Wood (Part 2)
  • Not to be confused with the first “Things Made of Wood” post, this one tells the emotionally timeless story of a man with a wooden serving tray.

    Indeed, this post tells of a man in houndstooth who was given a sign by a higher power. When he awoke on the morning of June 20th 2005, his coffee table bore a carving that spelled the word “Whynatte”. In addition, circles had been carved into his table. Circles that were the perfect shape to hold the business end of a shot glass filled with Jagermeister and a pint glass half full of latte. If this was not a miracle, he did not know what was:

    This post tells of how our protagonist adorns his houndstooth shirt each year, on the anniversary of this day, and marches through the streets holding his engraved coffee table high above his head. For it was the miracle of this engraved coffee table that encouraged him to spread the Whynatte to the world:

  • If by “o-train” you mean “unpaid intern” then your answer is yes.
