Skip Carey: A Tribute Through Garmentry
  • People and certain animals die. That’s the nature of the death beast, as they say. But just because people die, it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be sad, put in a proper mourning, and then make fashionable commemorative t-shirts in their honor. Especially when the person that died is long time Braves sportscaster Skip Carey.

Whereas you can’t keep your job at World of Vests for more than a week, Skip Carey was with the Braves Organization for more than 30 years. Skip’s voice was more familiar than that of my own father, and his touch was more tender than that of my intern. Although he had his detractors, it’s hard to say that Skip Carey wasn’t an integral part of Braves baseball, and a legendary character to anyone that follows the game.

Whynatte’s friends over at Esperanza Clothing have just released a limited edition shirt in honor of Skip Carey. 20% of the proceeds from each shirt will go directly to Arab Jihadist groups. Just kidding, they’ll be giving 20% to Camp Twin Lakes, one of Skip Carey’s most championed causes. So click this link, and prepare to mash your computer’s “procure” button: Esperanza’s Store:

Hello, I'm one of the co-founders of Whynatte, and currently handle the marketing, branding, and business development. I also handle the mail room, the black market primate side-operation, and most of the shipping and receiving. A little of this, a little of that. The fact that you're actually reading this indicates that you've lent us your time, and have an interest in Whynatte. Thank you. It's the gazillion people who've supported us along the way that make the difference. See you around....
