Last summer, Whynatte and Hotlanta Hot Sauce teamed up for a wing eating contest. I didn’t really know what to expect, but went in with open mind and open larynx. Truth be told, it was a goddamn blast, and much more fun that I would have ever expected. Just being an observer was enough to give me gastrointestinal cramps for a month, which was reason enough to make this an annual event. So…

Tomorrow, Saturday July 11th, at Front Page News in L5P, Whynatte and Hotlanta Hot Sauce will host the second annual Wing Eating and Whynatte Chugging Competition. We are bringing in our top Whynatte chugging talent, so you can have a go at them for cash prizes and other giveaways. Think you can take down Johnny Latte or Andrew the Destroyer? Now is the time to prove it:

So mad I’m going to be out of town for this. What was the wing count for last year’s winner?
The champ ate a crazy amount of wings. Like 2.25 pounds. I gobbled down 38 wings and it wasn’t even close. towards the end i stole a glimpse at him. Bones were overflowing out of his bucket, I could see the bottom of his wing trough. My hat goes off to you Kyle, impressive.
It was one hell of an afternoon – hearts were broken and new champions were crowned. The Whynatte Champion’s Jersey found a new owner in Thomas Wessels, and the runner up from last year’s wing eating competition (Kyle) took the crown this year. Video footage to come, but it was one of the best days of my life.
