Winners & Losers
  • It would be foolhardy to claim that everyone is a winner, because frankly everybody isn’t a winner. If you take the time to keep score, which we do, you’ll find that many people are being beaten soundly in the game of life. Which is not to say that the game of life is an easy one, but lets face it, some people are just bad at it. And, you can’t have winners without having losers, so much as you can’t have a proper marinade without having Worcesteshire sauce.

For instance, I have a friend that had access to the best education, a supportive group of friends, and a family business that was only years away from being his. What’s he doing now? Funny that you asked, since he’s addicted to meth and married to the hairiest woman south of the Mason-Dixon line.

I know, it’s a little strange to hear this sort of politically incorrect talk about winners and losers coming from a business. Businesses typically don’t like to alienate their potential customers, and come to think of it, this sounds like a fairly sound strategy. I never claimed to have an MBA.

We recently ran a competition on Twitter whereby the first person to tweet a photo of themselves drinking a Whynatte would win a full case of 24 Whynattes FedEx’d to their doorstep. Notice the word “win” in the last sentence, implying that this contest did indeed produce losers.

This fine specimen of a man took the prize, and will receive a free case of Whynatte Latte on his doorstep tomorrow:

Hello, I'm one of the co-founders of Whynatte, and currently handle the marketing, branding, and business development. I also handle the mail room, the black market primate side-operation, and most of the shipping and receiving. A little of this, a little of that. The fact that you're actually reading this indicates that you've lent us your time, and have an interest in Whynatte. Thank you. It's the gazillion people who've supported us along the way that make the difference. See you around....
