If last month’s Bedlam party was a spleen tingler, this month’s is going to be a full-on laparoscopic splenectomy. Suffice to say, I like costume parties as much as the next 30-something guy with nostalgic childhood memories of nearly running in front of cars while wearing a Superman outfit. Another thing I really like is the movie Zoolander, because it takes a serious look at the world of male modeling. So, it would follow that the perfect storm would be a Zoolander themed costume party, but that would just seem too aspirational to ever take place. Or so I thought…
Not only is Bedlam hosting (and Whynatte sponsoring) a Derelicte-themed costume party based on the hobo fashion line from the movie, it gets better. For your low admission price of $7, you’ll get free Whynatte Whippets from 10-11pm. Yes, that’s right, FREE SHOTS. But that’s not all. If you order today, we’re going to throw in a few hundred of Atlanta’s most fun loving party goers, DJ’s, $5 Whippets from 11pm-4am, and a night of romance with your choice of Whynatte intern. This is going to be a choice way to spend your Friday night.

In short, Derelicte is a fashion; a way of life inspired by homeless, vagrants,and crack whores. Shouldn’t be too hard for you degenerates to pull together an outfit for the occasion. Just kidding!!! Gosh.

I get the desire to be cutting edge and cheeky, but any event in which people with some amount of privilege parody less-privileged people is NOT cutting edge, NOT cool and lastly NOT A POSITIVE WAY TO REPRESENT YOUR BRAND.
I was reading all of the drama surrounding this event on the event invitation and all I can say is that it doesn’t appear to me to be anything more than throwing a party based on a silly film. I will be there ready to Derelicte my ass off. And I enjoyed Whynatte throughout the night of the last Bedlam and I hope to continue sipping on your drink every Bedlam coming up
