I mean, this footage is so exclusive, that we’ve decided to limit its distribution to only people who use the internet. We want to keep it in the “inner circle,” if you will.
As you may know, Whynatte held its first annual Mixology Competition at Sutra Lounge in Midtown Atlanta. Top bartenders from all over the city competed to win an iPad 2, mixing up some most clever Whynatte concoctions. Big thanks to all of the bartenders who participated in the event, we really appreciate all of the hard work you put into your drinks.
Here’s a quick video recap of the event:
With his delectable Velvet Crema-Latte, Adrian Collazo of the W Downtown was the grand prize winner. He’s probably busy perusing baboon breeding websites on his new iPad 2. I was fortunate enough to try this beauty, and it lived up to the hype.
Here’s the recipe, in case you’re feeling adventurous:
VELVET CREMA-LATTE
1 ½ oz Kracken Rum
½ oz Velvet Falernum
½ oz Monin Almond Syrup
½ oz Kahlua
2 oz Whynatte Latte
1 Dash of Old Fashioned Bitters
1 Mint Leaf for garnish
Cocoa for Rim
Pinch of Nutmeg forRim coupe glass with cocoa. Put all liquid ingredients inside a shaker with the exception
of Kahlua. Shake and pour into coupe glass. Slowly pour the Kahlua against the inside
of the glass, so it sinks to the bottom. Garnish with mint sprig and sprinkle a pinch of
nutmeg on top.
