Cardboard Warfare: A Thin Brown Line
  • When I was younger, my friends and I would get together and make action movies, complete with sound effects, mediocre editing, and Heinz 57 in the place of blood. While none of us have gone on to be major movie stars, it was a fun alternative to peyote, and at the time we produced some amusing short films. Or so I thought.

So here’s what the youth are up to now, and it’s just a tiny step up from my videos of yesteryear. Okay, truth be told, I don’t know what these guys are doing not dropping out of school to make movies in LA. I don’t normally make it my business to tell kids to drop out of school, but in this case I’m going to make an exception. Guys, if you’re reading this post: Pack up your Toyota Corolla, roll up your AP Biology textbook, tell your parents you’re going to Arby’s, and head west on I-20.

I’ll explain what this all has to do with Whynatte in just a sec, but first take a look at “Cardboard Warfare” aka their “home” video with a measly 4,000,000+ views on Youtube:

Suffice to say, the film speaks for itself. It just so happens that the guys behind this beauty went to Creekview High School, outside of Atlanta. Clint Jones, the mastermind behind Cardboard Warfare, has enjoyed many years of serious relations with the children of Whynatte co-founder Jim Natoli (who’s sons also went to Creekview). Needless to say, Jim got them all hooked on Whynatte at an early age, and now Clint and crew are big fans of our tasty beverage. So, as we await the upcoming Summer 2011 premier of Cardboard Warfare II, here’s a quick promo that they put together for Whynatte:

As an aside, I have a bunch of cardboard boxes taking up space in my parlor room, if you guys need supplies for the next film.

Hello, I'm one of the co-founders of Whynatte, and currently handle the marketing, branding, and business development. I also handle the mail room, the black market primate side-operation, and most of the shipping and receiving. A little of this, a little of that. The fact that you're actually reading this indicates that you've lent us your time, and have an interest in Whynatte. Thank you. It's the gazillion people who've supported us along the way that make the difference. See you around....
