What started on a summer’s morning in Santa Cruz has become a full blown phenomenon. From Rolling Stone Magazine to Emmy award winning writers, Whynatte has come a long way from its humble beginnings.  While this Whynatte thing has pretty much made us famous, we weren’t always collecting endangered falcons and flying private hovercrafts.

We never set out to start a beverage company, nor could we have predicted that what happened in Wyatt’s kitchen back in 2004 would blossom into the international sensation that it is today.  Friends told friends who told more friends, and the Whynatte became an underground success. Strangers were spotted around town wearing Whynatte shirts.  Whynatte made the pages of Rolling Stone Magazine. People from all over the world started sending us photos of themselves drinking Whynattes. Whynatte cocktail parties became a way of life, and the Whynatte is now served as a cocktail in bars, clubs, restaurants, and at college campuses and house parties around the world.  Next thing we know, we’re releasing our own ready-to-drink latte onto the market. Life is funny like that.

Yes, there is actually a legitimate cocktail bearing the Whynatte name (the cocktail was our brainchild, and  the true forebearer of the Whynatte Latte).  The original Whynatte cocktail involves mixing a fresh latte with a shot of liquor, a haphazard combination with an excellent taste.  Owing thanks to our community, the Whynatte Company has single-handedly created a market for a coffee beverage used as a mixer in the bar and nightclub world. One small problem: The majority of bars and clubs don’t readily carry coffee or a latte. In basic economics classes we learn of the relationship between supply and demand; in this case there was a strong and growing demand for Whynattes, yet a lack in supply of latte at bars and clubs.  The math was simple; if we could figure out a consistently easy way for bars and nightclubs to serve Whynattes, we would be able to ratchet this movement to the next level, and introduce coffee as a mixer all over the world.

Enter the Whynatte Latte, a coffee and energy drink made from premium ingredients.   In keeping with the rich social heritage now associated with the Whynatte, our ready-to-drink beverage emphasizes superior taste and quality.  We took our latte expertise and combined it with the knowledge of one of the leading beverage makers in the world.  The result is the Whynatte Latte, a coffee and energy drink made with premium ingredients, not insanely sweet, and equally perfect as both a mixer and a refreshing standalone beverage.  We use milk that contains no artificial hormones or antibiotics and real sugar (instead of high fructose corn syrup).  While Whynatte often brokers in shenanigans and needless embellishment, the quality and taste of the Whynatte Latte is the real deal.  This drink is flat-out delicious.

Whynatte is more than a beverage company; it’s a credible word-of-mouth community.  We thrive off of our inclusive attitude towards new friends and experiences. It is our promise to you, the consumer of our consumables, that we will not lose our fresh edge and sell out for anything less than would provide us all with enough cash to purchase exotic cats and have them suspended from our living room ceilings in steel cages.
